The Planned System of Driving or IPSGA
This is a way of approaching and negotiating hazards that is methodical, safe and leaves nothing to chance. It involves careful observation, early anticipation, planning and a systematic use of controls to maintain your vehicles stability in all situations.
IPSGA consists of processing information and four phases in sequence – position, speed, gear and acceleration. Each phase develops out of the one before. Information is central to the system. One works through each phase in sequence.
